The summer tire Nitto NT05 is essentially a racing tire adapted for use on public roads. It is characterized by uncompromising traction and extremely precise handling, along with exceptional resistance to thermal impact and abrasive wear.

The directional tread pattern consists of massive elements. The very wide continuous longitudinal rib, located exactly in the center, increases the accuracy of handling and stability of traction at high speed. When maneuvering, it interacts with large P-shaped blocks, providing a reliable contact with the road and preventing uneven wear of the tread. All these features are significantly enhanced by a combination of a reinforced carcass and a special rubber compound. The multi-layer synthetic cord, whose fibers have a carefully selected direction and are devoid of any joints and seams, provides the tire with resistance to deformation, preventing loss of traction and facilitating control over the vehicle's trajectory. The compound with a composition largely borrowed from racing tires for circuit racing gives the tread optimal elasticity, while maintaining its high resistance to both abrasive wear and prolonged thermal exposure. A significant feature of the tire is its ability to remain effective even on wet pavement. This is largely due to the presence of a sufficient number of drainage elements in the tread, including two very wide longitudinal grooves in the central part. With their help, the risk of aquaplaning is significantly reduced at almost any speed.
