Control and precision
The central and lateral ribs form a rigid frame of the tread layer. This configuration solves two problems at once. Firstly, it dampens course deviations on high-speed highways. The driver does not have to constantly adjust the steering. Secondly, the longitudinal elements with notches work like hooks, reducing the response time. The lamellas themselves add hundreds of additional gripping edges, which is especially important when braking on wet pavement.
The rubber compound is a modern compound based on modified polymers and silica. It provides increased wear resistance without losing elasticity at low temperatures. On wet asphalt, the traction-braking properties remain stable over many seasons.
Water and mud removal system
The wide inter-rib channels are made in the form of a truncated cone. Their smooth walls and polished bottom are not accidental. This structure minimizes turbulence of the water and mud flow, accelerating their evacuation from the contact patch. Even during an intense rain or on soggy ground, the channels do not clog, and the drainage remains effective. This has a direct impact on maintaining traction and grip.
