Wear resistance is a priority
The secret to wear resistance lies in the new generation rubber compound. High-dispersion technical carbon forms a dense structural grid, while silico-additives reduce the internal friction of polymers. The modernized matrix of high-performance elastomers works like a molecular grid - when deformed, it does not accumulate heat, but dissipates it. Tread and its specifics
Nexen engineers applied an asymmetric design - a proven solution for high-performance tires, where the inner and outer sides of the tread work on different tasks. The "shoulder" area is reinforced and focused on traction in turns on dry pavement. The inner area is focused on water evacuation and braking on wet roads.
Stability at speed
In the central area, there are three unique structures. This architecture optimizes the distribution of stiffness across the tire width. When driving straight at high speeds, the blocks work as a single rigid structure, preventing "wandering". And when entering a turn, they deform independently, maintaining the contact patch. This is especially important for a tire with a high resource.
Reinforced outer edge
The outer zone has elongated blocks. During maneuvers, this area experiences the greatest loads. Additional blocks prevent the tread from folding under lateral overload, which directly improves cornering on dynamic arcs.
Drainage system
In the rain, four wide grooves evacuate water from the contact area. There is a feature - the side grooves are slightly expanded at the ends. The expansion at the periphery reduces the concentration of stresses at the base of the block, preventing microcracks and tears. In addition, this shape optimizes the stiffness of the blocks along their entire height, which reduces the braking distance on wet roads.
