Nexen AS-S01

The all-season tire Nexen AS-S01 is designed for a wide range of passenger cars. It is distinguished by improved reliability of handling on wet pavement, stability of traction during acceleration and braking, acoustic comfort, fuel efficiency, and an extended service life.

The tread pattern, executed in an asymmetrical design, is a combination of massive blocks. In the central part, three longitudinal ribs are composed of them, the segments of which are connected by special "bridges" that give them increased resistance to deformation. Such elements provide excellent directional stability when driving in a straight line at high speed, reducing wear and rolling resistance. The shoulder areas are composed of massive P-shaped blocks that increase traction in turns, providing instantaneous responses of the tire to the driver's actions, making the vehicle handling process easier and more straightforward. In addition, such a design significantly slows down the process of abrasive wear of the tread, increasing the tire's mileage, especially on roads with worn-out pavement. The tire's efficiency is practically fully preserved even on wet pavement. Its tread contains wide longitudinal grooves, as well as a large number of transverse drainage elements. This is more than enough to dry the contact patch at almost any speed, preventing the formation of a continuous water film between the tire and the road.
