The Moscow M-263 winter passenger tire, due to a number of features, has a fairly narrow range of applications. First of all, it is limited to a size range, represented by a single type of tire for wheels with a mounting diameter of 12 inches. As a result, the target audience for this model is car owners of very compact passenger cars of class A, which are very popular today. Original V-shaped tread pattern
The Moscow M-263 was created in the "image and likeness" of winter tires from the most famous Scandinavian tire brands. Mostly, only they have such a design of a symmetrical directional tread pattern with a V-shaped arrangement of elements and an increased number of traction edges. But, unlike them, this model does not have pronounced longitudinal ribs. The absence of studs in this model is fully compensated by the increased number of traction edges. At the same time, most of them are formed not by individual blocks, but by numerous wavy lamellas cut into them throughout the depth of the tread. During movement, they open up, forming a multitude of traction edges. At the same time, the walls, due to the wavy shape, are tightly closed to each other, giving the tread block rigidity, which, in turn, improves handling.
