The Michelin X-Ice FL winter tire is suitable for most compact passenger cars. It is adapted for use in urban conditions. On slippery asphalt, it demonstrates stability of grip properties, comfort in handling, and effective braking.
The tread pattern features a V-shaped structure. This design reduces rolling resistance and wear, increases longitudinal grip and directional stability. The blocks in the central part form a dual continuous rib, which provides precision handling at high speeds. The tread blocks are distributed in groups, with three elements in each. This allowed them to combine their transverse edges, thanks to which high traction and braking intensity are demonstrated on snow. On icy surfaces, longitudinal grip is provided by numerous sinusoidal lamellas.
Key features:
- the dual rib in the middle of the blocks increases handling precision and directional stability, reduces rolling resistance;
- the distribution of blocks in groups provides high traction on snow;
- a silica-based rubber compound and numerous lamellas improve grip properties on icy surfaces.
