Description Michelin Primacy Alpin PA3
The Michelin Primacy Alpin PA3 winter non-studded tire is an excellent choice for winter driving on small and medium-sized passenger cars. Compared to its predecessor, this model has a shorter braking distance on wet surfaces and improved handling on snowy roads.
The symmetric directional tread pattern has a V-shaped design, which has many advantages. In particular, thanks to the wide central rib, the tire demonstrates excellent directional stability, good acceleration, and braking. Additionally, the high stiffness of the central rib provides high-speed reactions to steering wheel turns, making handling more precise. Also, the well-designed drainage system of the Michelin Primacy Alpin PA3 cannot be ignored, the efficiency of which largely depends on the V-shaped design of the tread pattern. This scheme of element arrangement provides the fastest removal of water, snow, and dirt from the contact patch. As an additional measure to improve water drainage efficiency, all channels and grooves of the tire have an increased width.
The rubber compound was selected based on the specific operating conditions of the tire in winter. The distinctive feature of the "Helio Compound" rubber compound is the presence of sunflower oil in its composition, which allows the tire to maintain its elasticity at the required level even at negative temperatures. As a result, the tire demonstrates excellent handling and high braking efficiency when driving on snowy and wet roads. The excellent elasticity also allows for the maximum possible contact patch.
Main features of Michelin Primacy Alpin PA3
- excellent grip on any type of surface, thanks to the use of Stabiligrip technology, which involves the use of lamellas of different lengths, contributing to the increased stiffness of all tread elements;
- excellent elasticity at low temperatures is ensured by a unique rubber compound with the addition of sunflower oil;
- excellent handling and directional stability due to the V-shaped design of the symmetric directional tread pattern.
