Compared to the previous generation model, it features improved handling and an even longer service life. For some markets, the French manufacturer offers a 100,000-kilometer warranty.

Uncompromising grip in the most difficult conditions

When creating this tire, particular attention was paid to achieving maximum safety on wet surfaces. In particular, the developers increased the width of the longitudinal drainage grooves. This allowed increasing their capacity by about 10 percent, which led to a corresponding increase in the ability of the tread to prevent aquaplaning. The arrangement of the drainage grooves was also changed, with transverse grooves forming longer gripping edges during movement. On wet surfaces, this led to a reduction in the braking distance. The French manufacturer claims a difference of 2.7 meters compared to the previous generation model.

Stability and stability at any speed

This model was developed with high dynamic performance in mind, characteristic of modern SUVs, which are often equipped not only with all-wheel drive systems but also with power units with a capacity of over 100 horsepower. All this has a significant mechanical impact on the tire, which it withstands with flying colors. French specialists strengthened the carcass by adding an additional cord, using synthetic materials for this purpose. This made it possible to significantly increase the tire's carrying capacity while maintaining its weight at almost the same level as the second-generation model.

Updated compound

The next significant innovation is a significantly updated compound composition. It contains much more "silica" than before. In addition, French tire manufacturers used elastomers of the latest generation. This allows the tread to more closely fit even the smallest irregularities on the surface of the road, which allows the tire to better grip it. At the same time, this ability does not deteriorate in rainy conditions. The presence of an increased amount of silicon-containing components provides the tread with elasticity even at a significant decrease in ambient temperature.

In addition, the elastomers used in the compound perform another important function. These components improve the strength of the tread on rupture and stretching, which ensures its integrity when driving at high speeds in conditions of strong dynamically changing deformation impact.

Long service life and soft ride

Given its sporting orientation, this model is favorably distinguished from most competitors by a soft ride and a long service life. This was achieved due to several design solutions in the tread. The profile of the shoulder zones is noticeably rounded, the blocks located here have a greater width, and the center of the tread is equipped with continuous longitudinal lamellas. This made it possible to optimally distribute the load over the contact patch, minimizing the specific pressure on it. At the same time, its parameters change within very small limits under the influence of multidirectional acceleration forces.
