Like other representatives of this line, the commercial tire Michelin Agilis 61 is designed for light trucks and vans, including their most load-bearing modifications. It is distinguished by high economic efficiency in operation, which is due not only to excellent load-bearing characteristics, reliability, and long service life. This model can be used all year round, i.e., both in summer and in winter. This possibility is provided due to the productive tread pattern on any roads and the corresponding physico-chemical properties of the rubber compound.
Excellent ride and load capacity
One of the characteristic features of this model is its long service life and significant load capacity. They are provided due to the use in its design of a whole complex of solutions. A significant part of them fell on the carcass, which was significantly strengthened. In particular, its breaker became multi-layered and entirely made of steel cord. This made it possible to significantly increase the tire's carrying capacity and its resistance to uneven wear.
Another important factor is the "low-radius" tread profile, as well as the optimized composition of its rubber compound. In the first case, a more even distribution of the load over the contact patch is ensured, and in the second, the resistance to any type of wear, as well as to punctures and cuts, is improved.
Increased traction on slippery roads
Unlike summer commercial tires, the tread of this model has an open design in the central part. It contains a large number of separate blocks of complex polygonal shape. At the same time, their transverse edges are distinguished by concavity, which additionally increases the traction characteristics on slippery roads. Moreover, the significant inclination of these block edges reduces rolling resistance, and their multi-step arrangement reduces the noise level.
Main features of Michelin Agilis 61
- increased load capacity and durability are provided by the strengthened carcass construction with a multi-layered breaker made entirely of steel cord;
- the open design of the central part of the tread improves traction on slippery surfaces, especially on snow.
