Description Maxxis VR1
The Maxxis VR1 summer tire is designed for the most dynamic versions of passenger cars. It is characterized by its rapid warm-up to "operational" temperatures, precision and speed in responding to driver actions, and excellent traction properties under various road and weather conditions.
The tread pattern is executed in a "classic" design for sports tires with a V-shaped arrangement of water drainage grooves. They are increased in size, which, in combination with the inclination and direction of most of them against the direction of motion, provides excellent resistance to aquaplaning. A massive longitudinal rib is located exactly in the middle. It reduces rolling resistance, increases directional stability on straight sections. When maneuvering, the central rib interacts with shoulder blocks connected by wide "bridges". This provides exceptional precision in handling when maneuvering and cornering.
The tread of the tire is made of a special rubber compound, the composition of which is largely borrowed from sports tires for road racing. It is this that explains the very rapid heating of the tire to the "operational" temperature range, after which maximum traction properties are ensured.
Key Features of Maxxis VR1
- an aggressive tread pattern with massive and rigid elements provides excellent traction in any driving mode;
- the increased volume of water drainage grooves and the significant length of the edges formed by them allow for intense acceleration and deceleration on a wet surface;
- a special rubber compound with very high thermal conductivity provides the tire with exceptional grip, both on dry and wet surfaces.
