The summer passenger tire Maxxis R19 Victra is distinguished by an extremely specific scope of application. This model is designed exclusively for use on racing tracks with gravel coverage, and its primary target audience is amateur athletes. Its existence is due to the popularity of open national championships in many countries of the world, primarily in the USA.
Two rubber compound compositions
One of the key features of Maxxis R19 Victra is the presence of two versions, differing from each other only in the elasticity of the rubber compound. At the same time, the manufacturer allows the use of tires with soft or hard compound on different axes and sides, which makes it possible to select a set that best corresponds to the various features of the track.
Unique asymmetric tread pattern of Maxxis R19 Victra
High efficiency on gravel types of coverage is largely ensured by the features of the asymmetric tread pattern design. It is divided into several functional zones, each of which is assigned to solve a strictly defined circle of tasks.
Its inner side contains a large number of small rectangular blocks, located at a right angle to the direction of movement. This gives the Maxxis R19 Victra tire maximum longitudinal traction and adhesion properties. The exception is the rectangular blocks of the shoulder areas, located longitudinally. These tread elements improve stability when cornering, as well as provide faster and more accurate responses to steering wheel turns.
The outer side of the tread also contains a large number of small blocks. However, they are located at a significant angle to the direction of movement. On the one hand, such a design improves adhesion when cornering, and on the other hand, it increases directional stability. As with the inner side of the tread, the exception is the blocks of the shoulder areas. Their longitudinal arrangement in combination with a trapezoidal shape gives the tire stable and predictable handling when maneuvering and cornering.
Reinforced carcass construction
The excellent reliability of this model is largely due to the reinforced carcass construction. Under the tread, there is an additional breaker layer with increased mechanical strength and resistance to any external aggressive influence.
Main features:
- the tire is designed for use on racing tracks with gravel coverage;
- two versions - with hard and soft compound;
- a highly efficient asymmetric tread pattern design with several functional zones provides the tire with excellent traction and handling in any conditions;
- maximum traction and adhesion properties due to a large number of small blocks arranged in different directions;
- the additional breaker layer gives the tire excellent reliability, providing increased resistance to any aggressive external influence.
