Matador MP-42 Elite 2

During the development of the summer tire Matador MP-42, the specialists of the Slovak company had to make a lot of effort to make the new product surpass its popular predecessor, the MP-35 model, in terms of technical characteristics. This was achieved by using a number of original solutions and the latest materials. The final result was excellent driving qualities combined with a high level of comfort.

Two versions of execution

This model is offered in two versions of execution. They differ from each other only in the design of the tread pattern. Tires with a profile width of up to 205 mm have three longitudinal drainage grooves. Sizes with a wider tread have one more groove.

Multifunctional drainage grooves

Thanks to the saw-toothed elements on the walls, the longitudinal drainage grooves of the tire's tread have a wider functionality. With their help, the noise level is significantly reduced, which has a positive effect on the comfort level.
As for the direct functions of the drainage grooves, due to their significant size, they cope with them more than efficiently. The numerous transverse channels with an excellent performance due to their curved shape contribute to this.

Several continuous tread ribs in the center

Depending on the size, the central part of the tire's tread contains two or three longitudinal ribs. In both cases, these elements have a rigid continuous structure, which gives the tire stability and stability at high speed, as well as ensures quick and accurate execution of the driver's commands.
