Despite being produced by a European manufacturer, the all-season passenger tire Matador MP-61 Adhessa M+S provides a high level of safety even in our harsh winter conditions. Another advantage of this model is its size range, which, although consisting of only 11 sizes, fits a huge number of passenger car models with a wheel mounting diameter of 13 to 16 inches.
Original V-shaped tread pattern design
Aiming to provide the tire with decent traction properties on any type of surface, Slovak tire makers preferred to use perhaps the most classic arrangement of tread elements. The V-shaped tread pattern design is distinguished by the highest performance on surfaces with a low coefficient of friction. At the same time, it consists of only 4 longitudinal ribs, two of which are located in the central part of the tread. This made it possible to make them as large as possible, which significantly increased the contact patch area, thus providing excellent traction, while optimally distributing external pressure on it.
2 rigid longitudinal ribs
The central part of the Matador MP-61 Adhessa M+S tire tread features two very wide longitudinal ribs. Their distinctive feature is that they abound with numerous straight lamellas, arranged in different directions. When in contact with the road surface, they open up, forming additional traction edges. At the same time, the minimum distance between the formed blocks does not reduce the stiffness in this part of the tread, thus providing excellent handling on dry roads.
Wide shoulder areas
As mentioned earlier, the shoulder areas of the tread are another functional part of it. It is designed to perform several tasks at once. First of all, the massive size of the shoulder areas, due to their stiffness, made it possible to significantly increase stability when making sharp maneuvers. And when driving on snow, sand, or mud, the shoulder area blocks provide more confident overcoming of such sections.
