The Marshal MU12 summer tire is designed for the most powerful modifications of small and medium-sized passenger cars. Developed by Kumho specialists to replace the MU 11 model, it differs from its predecessor with its newly created tread pattern design and rubber compound composition.
Asymmetric Tread
The tire's tread features an asymmetric design, characterized by larger elements compared to the previous generation tire. Essentially, the tread pattern consists of three wide longitudinal ribs in the center and several hundred blocks in the shoulder areas. This design ensures maximum contact patch sizes that change minimally under the influence of multidirectional acceleration forces, guaranteeing consistent traction properties in any conditions.
Improved Compound
One of the key innovations is the updated compound, which features the use of butadiene-styrene rubber with increased styrene content. This allows the tread to grip even wet surfaces much better, tightly hugging the smallest irregularities on its surface. Water removal is achieved not only through wide longitudinal grooves but also through narrow lamellas cut into the central ribs.
