Leao Winter Defender Grip Van 2 (Studless) – a modification of the eponymous winter tire that is not equipped with studs. Despite this, the model demonstrates confident grip on winter roads, is resistant to lateral skidding, and provides a short braking distance.
The tread pattern is made in a symmetrical directional style. This allows for good handling, including on slippery roads. It also promotes rapid cleaning of the contact area, which has a positive effect on traction and braking properties. Thanks to the abundance of wavy notches, it forms a huge number of engagement edges. Therefore, even without studs, the tire is effectively fixed on the winter road, ensuring a high level of safety.
The presence of silica and a number of elastomers in the rubber mixture significantly improves protection against low temperatures, maintaining a certain level of elasticity of the compound. This factor also has a positive effect on the quality of grip and traction properties.
Main features of Leao Winter Defender Grip Van 2 (Studless)
- a developed system of lamellas and block structures increases grip, ensuring the reliability of traction and braking properties;
- the drainage system can handle large volumes of slush and water, maintaining contact efficiency in any weather;
- an elastic compound with silica retains its properties over a wide temperature range.
