All-season tire Kumho HA32, like the previous model with the HA31 index, is designed for use in areas with so-called "European" winters. It differs from its predecessor by significantly improved braking efficiency on wet pavement, traction properties on snowy surfaces.
The rubber compound used in the manufacture of the tread has a high content of silicon dioxide, better known as "silica". In combination with special polymers, this allows the tire to retain its elasticity and, along with it, "grip" at low ambient temperatures. It's worth noting the presence of numerous lamellas that cover the entire tread. Narrow slits form a large number of sharp edges that the tire literally "bites" into the road surface. At the same time, the "three-dimensional" profile of the vertical walls of the lamellas, limiting the mobility of the blocks, improves course stability and handling accuracy.
Thanks to the V-shaped tread design, the drainage grooves contained in it have a significant slope and direction against the movement. Along with their curved shape and increasing width as they approach the edges of the tread pattern, this minimizes the risk of aquaplaning and slushplaning.
