All-season tire Kumho Ecsta ASX KU21 is designed specifically for the most powerful versions of passenger cars. It is characterized by improved traction on wet and snowy surfaces, sport-tuned handling at high speeds, resistance to abrasive wear, reduced fuel consumption, and increased mileage.
The asymmetric tread pattern is distinguished by the presence of a large number of lamellas. Several types of grooves are used here. In the shoulder area on the inside, there are 3D lamellas with saw-toothed edges that improve traction on snowy surfaces while maintaining high directional stability. The central part contains straight grooves that, in addition to forming additional traction edges, direct excess moisture to one of the longitudinal grooves, thereby reducing the risk of a continuous water film forming between the tire and the road surface, maintaining reliable vehicle control in such conditions. It is worth noting the use of a large number of curved grooves at the edges of the tread pattern, the shape of which promotes more intense water drainage, which also ensures good traction on wet surfaces. The next important feature of the tire is the use of a rubber compound with a high content of "silica". Such a compound remains soft in winter, providing the tread with the ability to closely fit the road surface, ensuring more reliable traction with it.
