The leading axle of the tractor is the point of greatest responsibility. This is where braking, directional stability, and torque transfer on a wet track are decided. Kpatos KTA35 is a Chinese model designed specifically for these tasks. The tire is designed for year-round operation on highways.
Universal tread
Designers have incorporated a deep drainage network into the pattern. Each edge of the groove is made as a sharp gripping edge. In the rain, they "cut" through the water film, while providing traction and evacuating water to the sides. The result is confident braking, both on dry and wet asphalt.
Geometry for directional stability
Unlike classic straight ribs, the model uses three segmented ribs. This provides two benefits:
- increases transverse stiffness - the tractor is firmly fixed in the rut and in crosswind;
- distributes contact more evenly even with partial wear.
Massive carcass
A highway tractor with a trailer is increased loads. The internal structure here is made with an increased number of layers. It resists deformation and does not allow the tire to "twist" during intense acceleration. Additionally, thermally stable additives are introduced into the compound - the tire heats up less on long hauls.
