Kenex is a brand of Chinese origin that has been part of the Nexen Corporation (Korea) for many years. The history of the brand spans several decades (over 60 years). Its development has not been marked by rapid growth, as has been the case with many Chinese manufacturers. After establishing its production base, the company spent a year setting up its equipment without releasing any products. There is an opinion that this entire period was spent developing new rubber compounds and tread patterns. As a result, the first tire model released to the masses gained popularity, albeit only within the country. All further development is associated with the Nexen Corporation, which acquired the brand but did not remake it, instead providing financial support to reach new heights. At the same time, Kenex was given complete freedom of action. The re-equipment of production facilities with Korean equipment had a positive impact not only on the quality of the tires produced but also on their quantity. As a result, the company was able to achieve the performance of its parent corporation, becoming popular in many countries.
