DescriptionDescription Кама 505
Automotive tires Kama-505 Irbis are designed for the winter period. They were first released in 2006. They provide excellent stability and handling on icy and snowy roads.
New Irbis Technologies
The distinctive feature of KAMA 505 IRBIS tires is their studs. They are made using Finnish technology with two flanges. The unique teardrop-shaped stud allows the tire's tread to optimally grip the stud's body, while also preventing abrasive materials from entering the hole. The stud insert is 2.45 mm in size, ensuring excellent traction on icy, snowy, and wet road surfaces. The original design solutions guarantee the wear resistance and durability of the tire and studs. The stud holes are not drilled, but rather formed during the vulcanization process, reducing the risk of microcracks and defects.
Special Components of the Irbis Model
The Kama-505 Irbis automotive tire has 12 rows of studs, made using the Finnish type with two flanges. These studs provide maximum resistance to skidding. The black-colored studs guarantee not only excellent traction but also a stylish look for your vehicle.
The tread features an original pattern, with deep grooves providing self-cleaning of the tire from meltwater, snow, and dirt. Special slit-like cuts on the tread provide distinctive traction qualities on urban roads, highways, and off-road. The original composition of the rubber mixture guarantees high reliability, wear resistance, and durability.
Thanks to the design solution, the tread blocks are arranged in such a way that when hitting the road, no acoustic waves are generated. This is why the noise level is minimal during movement.
Features of the 505th Kama
The Kama 505 Irbis automotive tires are designed for passenger cars. Their load index is 82, and the speed index is T. The maximum permissible speed is 190 km/h. The construction type is radial, and the sealing type is tubeless. These tires are mainly used on domestic VAZ cars, as well as on Daewoo Nexia, Hyundai Accent, and Kia Rio.
Operational Characteristics of the Winter Tire Kama 505
The studding of Russian-made tires is performed using Finnish studs with two flanges to ensure European quality and reliability. The KAMA-505 Irbis stud itself has a unique design. It is made of steel with a double layer of anti-corrosion coating to increase its reliability and service life. Thanks to the presence of flanges, the tire excellently grips the road surface, forming additional cutting edges.
Advantages of the Domestic Tire Kama Irbis
The main advantages of the tire, noted by users, are its low noise level. The weight of each tire is 200 grams less than that of its analogs. The vehicle responds clearly to the driver's control and is stable during maneuvering. Affordable price and high quality - all this is the KAMA-505 IRBIS tire of Russian production.

Tires for 2 seasons, on average, 25-30t.km. Currently, the tire is breaking down at 100km. Riding with vibrations, wishing you good health. Not suited for balancing (uneven tread). No studs at all, 50%. And honestly, I think you can't find a better option for such money.

I've done 2 full seasons on them, though I won't be putting new ones on for next year, as they don't hold on ice and are as loud as a fighter jet, plus one of the tires has now developed a flat spot. Before this, the Nords were a much better handling tire.

The tire has changed a lot over the last 5 years, I bought the first set back in 2006 or 2007 and I'd be honest, it was a three out of ten. I took a pair in September and it's a different story altogether. It handles well on asphalt, isn't afraid of snow or ice, and doesn't chatter on rough roads. It seems the tire manufacturers have changed the compound and made a very decent budget tire out of it.
