Description Heidenau K37 Dual Sport
The Heidenau K37 Dual Sport motorcycle tire, like most other models from this renowned German manufacturer, is distinguished by a combination of traditions from the past and modern technologies. As for this particular model, its key feature is that it is designed for installation on such motorcycles as the "Ural", as well as on other models of military motorcycles from World War II. Additionally, the manufacturer allows the installation of this tire on sidecars, both with and without drive.
The tread pattern unequivocally hints at the type of operation this tire is designed for. The manufacturer has equipped it with a classic off-road tread, allowing for confident movement on various types of surfaces. However, the presence of massive mud grips in the shoulder areas of the tread suggests that the tire has excellent traction in mud.
If we describe the tread pattern in general terms, it is more reminiscent of a classic off-road car tire. The Heidenau K37 tread pattern features three longitudinal rows of individual blocks arranged at a right angle to the direction of movement. At the same time, the tread blocks located in the center of the tire have more massive dimensions. This solution is due to the desire to provide a more extensive contact patch area, which contributes to an even distribution of load. As a result, the contact patch has an optimal shape that contributes to improved traction.
It is also worth noting the large distance between the tread blocks. Due to this, it was possible to achieve excellent self-cleaning properties of the tread, i.e., it does not get clogged with soil particles. This significantly improved the tire's ability to move on unstable surfaces.
Main features of the Heidenau K37 Dual Sport model
