Hankook W636A Winter I*Cept IZ3 X – a winter tire for SUVs, crossovers, and pickups, created using modern technologies. The model stands out for its stability on wet, snowy, and icy roads. Such a combination was achieved due to the competent combination of advanced development methods, high-quality raw materials, and methods of their processing.
The tread is represented by a classic V-shaped pattern of the "Scandinavian" type, with a solid central rib. On the one hand, such a solution allows increasing the accuracy of control, including at high speeds. And on the other hand, it effectively fixes the contact patch, maintaining the stability of the vehicle. Three-dimensional lamellas, which densely cover all the main blocks, play a significant role in this. Thanks to them, the acceleration indicator on a slippery road was improved by 11%, and braking - by 9%.
Extended shoulder blocks, which partially extend to the sidewalls, provide increased passability on loose snow, maintaining traction efforts. In addition, they stabilize the car during maneuvers, contributing to maintaining control over it. This factor increases the level of safety, making the ride more comfortable.
The drainage system, represented by extended channels and numerous grooves, contributes to the rapid removal of excess moisture from the contact zone. Thanks to this, the efficiency of the coupling properties on wet asphalt is maintained.
Special attention should be paid to the compound, which represents the latest development of the company. It contains composite additives of high purification, forming long polymer chains. Due to this, a high level of rubber elasticity is maintained even at extremely low temperatures. The result is a reliable contact with the road surface in any weather. In addition, the composition perfectly resists wear, increasing the service life of the tire.
Among the beneficial aspects of the tire, one can also highlight its low noise level, as well as the ability to absorb most of the vibrations. This was achieved through the use of special layers in the carcass in conjunction with an elastic compound. Therefore, even long trips will not be so exhausting.
