The Hankook W429 i Pike RS2 winter tire is designed for regions with extremely cold climates. It is distinguished by excellent traction properties on both snowy and icy surfaces, comfortable handling, fuel efficiency, and high mileage.

The tread pattern features wide blocks forming a composite continuous rib in the central part. This reduces rolling resistance and wear, and in combination with elongated zigzag grooves, increases traction on snowy roads. The shoulder areas are highlighted by grooves with spiral-shaped walls. This further increases the intensity of water and snow slush removal from the contact patch, enhancing the reliability of handling in adverse weather conditions. Also worth noting is the increased density of lamella cuts, as well as the zigzag shape of their edges.
