Description Hankook W429 i Pike RS2 [Нешип] 245/45 R17 99T XL

The Hankook W429 i Pike RS2 winter tire is designed for regions with extremely cold climates. It is distinguished by excellent traction properties on both snowy and icy surfaces, comfortable handling, fuel efficiency, and high mileage.

The tread pattern features wide blocks forming a composite continuous rib in the central part. This reduces rolling resistance and wear, and in combination with elongated zigzag grooves, increases traction on snowy roads. The shoulder areas are highlighted by grooves with spiral-shaped walls. This further increases the intensity of water and snow slush removal from the contact patch, enhancing the reliability of handling in adverse weather conditions. Also worth noting is the increased density of lamella cuts, as well as the zigzag shape of their edges. These features allow the tire to demonstrate high traction and braking intensity on wet roads, compacted snow, and icy surfaces.

Key features of Hankook W429 i Pike RS2 (Studless)

- a wide longitudinal rib made of massive blocks in the central part increases directional stability and handling precision, reduces fuel consumption and wear;
- a zigzag shape of the groove walls and lamellas improves traction properties on snowy and icy roads;
- a spiral shape of the groove walls in the shoulder areas increases the intensity of water and snow removal from under the tire.

Technologies

Ice Slit Technology

Innovative tread technology provides excellent traction on ice

Optimized studs

Improved traction on ice due to an increased number of studs

Tread pattern edge

The serrated edges of the shoulder blocks on both sides provide better traction on snowy roads.

Tread edge with steps

The step tread design in the shoulder area provides better snow traction by increasing the frictional surface in deep snow.

Ultra High Temperature technology

The UHT technology makes the tire structure rigid, which helps to improve handling and cornering performance at higher speeds. It provides increased puncture resistance and tire durability.

High-Performance Technology

Highly elastic rubber makes the sidewall more durable and also effectively minimizes vibrations from the tire.

New studding technology

At the bottom of the stud, a void space is provided that allows reducing the impact on the road and improving operating characteristics due to the innovative increase in the number of studs.
