The Hankook Radial RA10 all-season truck tire is designed for installation on the wheels of all axles of small-capacity trucks, such as light trucks, vans, and minibuses.
The undirected tread pattern design provides for year-round operation not only on paved roads but also on unpaved roads. The tire's tread pattern consists of two rows of individual blocks of complex geometric shape located in the center and two reinforced shoulder zones, also divided into individual blocks by longitudinal grooves. Between the two central rows of blocks, there is a wide drainage groove that, in combination with two zigzag-shaped grooves separating the shoulder zones of the tread, effectively removes snow, water, and mud from the tire's contact patch.
Such a scheme for arranging the main elements of the Hankook RA10 Radial tire tread is the most expedient for ensuring fuel efficiency, as well as from the point of view of optimal load distribution, which significantly improves the strength characteristics of the entire tire. Moreover, the large number of blocks form a multitude of engagement edges, thereby providing high passability on snow and mud for this category of tires.
Taking into account the specifics of urban operation of commercial transport, the tire's sidewall was correspondingly strengthened to prevent damage caused, for example, by such a common phenomenon as curb impact. The composition of the rubber mixture was also selected with regard to the specifics of operation and gave the tires high resistance to aggressive external mechanical influences, resistance to uneven wear, and a long service life.
