The summer tire Hankook K127 Ventus S1 Evo3 is designed for the most dynamic versions of passenger cars. It stands out for its excellent directional stability on wet surfaces, speed and precision in handling, good fuel economy for UHP models, and acoustic comfort.
Compared to its predecessor, this model differs more in its internal construction than in its tread pattern. In particular, aramid fibers are used in the breaker cord. Together with the progressive technology of seamless and jointless winding, this has allowed more than halving the deformation of the tire during high-speed movement, thereby ensuring the constancy of the shape and size of the contact patch and reducing rolling resistance.
Another innovation is the modified composition of the rubber compound. It includes natural resins that enhance the adhesive properties, especially on wet surfaces. In turn, the new technology for manufacturing the compound, due to the increased uniformity of mixing all components, has made it possible to reduce rolling resistance and improve the stability of adhesion.
The tread pattern is distinguished by the presence of bridges between the blocks located in the shoulder zones. Such "bridges" limit the mutual mobility of elements, increasing the accuracy of control during maneuvering.
