Nankook will equip the updated Mercedes S-Class with tires

Hankook Tire announced that it will supply tires for the standard equipment of the updated version of the Mercedes S-Class — the flagship sedan of the German brand, which was previously equipped with tires from the Korean company. 

The updated S-Class is equipped with the sporty Hankook Ventus S1 evo3 tires with a diameter of 19 inches, which have received the MO (Mercedes Original) marking, and at Hankook, they say that "thanks to close cooperation with Mercedes-Benz, tires have been developed that combine the ability to suppress noise and provide high stability at high speeds". 

In the production of tires, aramid fibers and a rubber compound with a silica content are used, which, according to the manufacturer, improves both handling and fuel efficiency, while the interconnected grooves with a hexagonal design in the outer shoulder area reduce the risk of aquaplaning, while also increasing stability in turns and on both wet and dry roads, and the variable pitch of the tread simultaneously reduces noise and shortens braking distances in various weather conditions. 

As part of the cooperation with Mercedes, the company also supplies tires for A-, B-, C- and E-class cars, GLC and GLC Coupe crossovers, and in 2024, the Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe sports car was added to this list.
