The winter tire Hankook IW04A iON Nordic I*CE, presented by the renowned Korean brand, is a fresh development of the 2025 season. The novelty is distinguished by increased comfort, improved resistance to extreme weather conditions, and the ability to withstand significant loads without losing the integrity of the design.
Structural base
The tread is made according to a directional scheme with a symmetrical pattern. The central part consists of medium-sized blocks that form a recognizable V-shaped geometry. This configuration contributes to the formation of multiple diagonal channels that effectively drain water, snow, and slush from the contact area.
Additional efficiency is provided by a dense network of lamellas, which significantly improves traction with the road. According to independent tests, the braking distance on wet and snowy surfaces has been reduced by several percent compared to analogues. Moreover, the tire demonstrates high resistance to hydroplaning, confidently handling large amounts of moisture.
Rubber compound
The tread is based on an innovative composition developed specifically for this model. The multi-level structure of the rubber provides excellent adaptation to various temperature regimes, ensuring stable traction on winter roads. Note that the model is also suitable for areas with particularly low temperature regimes. The new formula reduces rolling resistance, which has a positive effect on fuel efficiency and reduces emissions.
Key features of Hankook IW04A iON Nordic I*CE:
- a wide range of sizes allows the tire to be used on various crossovers and SUVs from different manufacturers;
- increased adaptability to winter conditions thanks to the new compound and improved tread design;
- directional pattern and developed lamellization provide effective drainage of moisture and dirt, improving traction;
- low air resistance, which optimizes fuel consumption.
