The GT Radial FE2 summer tire, despite some similarities in appearance to its predecessor, the FE1, has a number of significant differences in design. This has resulted in noticeable improvements to most of its operational properties, primarily in terms of braking, stability on wet surfaces, and fuel efficiency.
A significant portion of the changes affected the tire's tread profile and sidewalls. They are now much less prone to deformation. The tire has become stiffer, which increases the stability of the grip, simplifies the handling process during maneuvers, and shortens the braking distance. Another innovation is the rubber compound. A more elastic and at the same time wear-resistant compound has significantly improved traction on wet surfaces, especially when braking, with the braking distance being 15% shorter.
Key features of the GT Radial FE2
- increased efficiency when braking on wet surfaces thanks to an optimized rubber compound;
- a deformation-resistant frame and sidewalls simplify the handling process during maneuvers, ensuring stability during straight-line movement;
- the special shape of the tread profile and increased stiffness of the shoulder blocks prevent uneven wear, increasing the tire's mileage.
