Tyres Groundspeed
- Origins: Unknown
The Groundspeed trademark belongs to the Chinese company Qingdao Sentury Tire Co., Ltd., founded in 2009. Currently, this firm is one of the largest manufacturers of tires for passenger and commercial vehicles, as well as aircraft tires. All products are manufactured in Thailand, at a plant of Industry 4.0 standard. Considering the fact that this plant also produces tires for airliners, the company has the right to claim high quality of its automotive tires. This brand is used for labeling tire products for passenger and commercial vehicles and buses.
In this segment, the brand offers tires of the following categories:
- for long-haul transportation;
- for regional transportation;
- for mixed operating conditions.
Models from the "long-haul" line are distinguished by excellent fuel efficiency, durability, and long service life. This is due to the use of a fully steel carcass, the structure of which was optimized to reduce the weight of the tire while maintaining its high load-carrying capacity and resistance to impacts. In addition, such tires use special tread patterns that reduce rolling resistance and prevent rapid wear of the tread.
The segment of tires for regional transportation is represented by both universal tires for any axle and specialized products designed for use on a specific axle of commercial vehicles. Another feature is the increased strength of the carcasses and rubber compound, which provides a long service life even on poor roads.
"Mixed" tires are designed specifically for commercial vehicles and special equipment operated on construction and production sites. They are distinguished by increased efficiency on unpaved surfaces, provided by special tread patterns. In addition, tires of this line have the most durable carcasses, increased sidewall thickness, integrated into their structure with full-metal cords, as well as a rubber compound resistant to wear, punctures, and cuts.
