Functional zoning
Designers divided the tread into two functional zones, combined by an asymmetrical pattern. One part is responsible for water drainage and course stability, the other – for turns and grip during maneuvers. This eliminates the conflict of tasks within one contact patch.
Hydrocorridor and stability
The central part of the tread is equipped with longitudinal drainage channels and a network of diagonal notches. When moving on wet asphalt, water enters these channels and is thrown outward by centrifugal force. At the same time, the lamellas are cut at a variable angle, which increases resistance to hydroplaning and stabilizes the car on a straight line. This zone also takes on the main loads during braking.
Maneuverability and contact patch
Three rib elements provide a sharp response to steering wheel rotation. When entering a turn, it is this part of the tread that first contacts the road. Due to optimized stiffness, the driver receives a predictable arc and increased grip when exiting the turn.
Thermal stability and grip stability
Any high-speed tire suffers from overheating. During prolonged driving, the temperature in the contact zone can exceed 100°C, which leads to softening of the compound and loss of shape. Here, this problem was solved by applying a compound with a package of high-temperature additives. In combination, this gives:
- preservation of dynamic stiffness;
- protection against abrasive wear – overheating accelerates wear, and a stable temperature extends the resource.
As a result, the tire provides stable braking and grip properties from the first kilometer to complete wear, regardless of the asphalt temperature.
