We present to you the Goodyear Ultragrip Performance GEN-1 SUV SCT winter tire, designed for SUVs. The model is characterized by a short braking distance, confident handling on different surfaces (wet, dry, icy) and an efficient drainage system.
Tread Pattern Direction
The central zone of the tire is occupied by a massive rib consisting of diagonal blocks. Such an arrangement, in combination with a huge number of transverse lamellas, provides increased traction both on loose snow and on icy surfaces. Thus, high handling sensitivity is maintained even in the most difficult conditions in winter.
The contact patch has been increased in the model, which has had a positive effect not only on handling but also on braking properties. According to tests, the braking distance on a wet road was reduced by 1.9 meters, and on a dry surface by 2.3 meters (compared to analogues).
Shoulder Zone
It also features diagonally directed blocks of increased stiffness. This factor ensures confident cornering while maintaining control over handling. Additionally, the blocks increase traction, improving passability on loose snow.
