The fact is that this particular model is designed for operation on any axles of medium-duty trucks that are used not only on paved roads but also on unpaved roads. The universality of this tire is largely ensured by its robust construction and symmetrical non-directional tread pattern, which demonstrates high performance on various types of coverage.
Universal tread pattern
As mentioned earlier, the Goodtyre YB-328 model can be successfully operated both on regular roads and beyond. This is primarily due to the tread pattern design, which consists of a large number of very massive blocks. These blocks form three longitudinal ribs, two of which are shoulder zones. This structure provides the tire with directional stability and reduces rolling resistance when moving on paved roads.
Polygonal blocks of the central part
Unlike most other tire products of a similar purpose, in this model, a large part of the tread is occupied by central part blocks. In addition to their massive size, they are distinguished by a complex polygonal shape and the complete absence of sharp corners, which have been rounded. This design has allowed increasing the size of the contact patch, optimizing the distribution of external weight on it, improving traction in all directions, and reducing noise levels.
Trapezoidal blocks of the shoulder zones
Unlike the blocks in the central part, the shoulder zones are composed of smaller-sized individual elements. At the same time, they have a trapezoidal shape, which provides a more even distribution of external pressure on the support surface, giving it a rectangular shape at the same time. This allows increasing the carrying capacity and resistance to uneven wear, and due to the smaller size, it also provides increased traction on unstable loose soils.
