The development of the commercial tire General Tire Eurovan A/S 365 was handled by specialists from the German conglomerate Continental AG. This model is offered on both sides of the Atlantic as an "all-season" tire. The versatility of the application is ensured by the characteristics of the rubber compound and the tread pattern, which are effective on the most diverse types of coverage.

Combination of winter and summer tires

When creating the tread pattern design, the developers used technical solutions characteristic of both summer and winter tires. The very rigid and transversely arranged blocks in the shoulder zones provide effective transmission of torque from the engine when starting and slowing down. In turn, the central part of the tread pattern has a V-shaped design, formed by the corresponding shape and size of the blocks located here. Each of these elements contains wavy lamellas. When in contact with the road surface, they form a multitude of additional edges. Thus, reliable grip and resistance to lateral skidding are ensured when moving on winter roads.

Reliability on a wet road

The basis of the tread's drainage system is three longitudinal grooves. They are connected to each other and the surrounding environment by numerous transverse grooves, most of which are located against the direction of motion. At the same time, all drainage elements have a significant volume, thanks to the large width and depth of the tread. This design allows the tread to effectively clean the contact patch, both from water and heavy snow masses.

Long mileage

Along with other advantages, the long service life of this model is one of its main advantages. It is ensured by a whole complex of technical solutions, which, to varying degrees, affect almost all components of the tire. First of all, these are the physical properties of the compound, which has increased resistance to both abrasive wear and aggressive mechanical wear. It is worth noting a number of features of the tread pattern design. Being very rigid and large, the blocks in the shoulder zones allow for a more even distribution of the external load over the entire contact patch. The wavy lamellas cut into the blocks of the central part have a similar influence.

Comfort

Despite the significant number of tread elements, when driving, this tire generates much less noise than most competitors. This is largely due to the soft rubber compound, which effectively dampens noise and vibrations from small road irregularities. In addition, acoustic comfort is provided by the multi-step arrangement of the tread elements.
