Description Firestone Touring FS100
The Firestone Touring FS100 summer tire was developed by Bridgestone specialists for the European market. The model is characterized by balanced characteristics, demonstrating a high level of driving comfort, both on dry and wet surfaces.
Rounded edges of drainage grooves
The shape of the edges of the transverse drainage grooves of the tire's tread has a noticeable rounding. Thanks to this, seemingly insignificant solution, it was possible to improve handling and braking efficiency. The rounded shape of the drainage grooves provides a more even distribution of external load across the contact patch.
Optimized design and block arrangement
In the development of the tire's tread pattern, modern technologies that simulate millions of kilometers of road surface with various characteristics were widely used. One of the results of this was the optimization of the size and arrangement of the tread blocks. With its help, it was possible to reduce the likelihood of aquaplaning and uneven wear, reduce resonant noise and vibrations during movement.
Additional breaker layer
The breaker located directly under the tread contains an additional nylon cord. Its fibers are arranged longitudinally and with a very high density. This significantly increases the directional stability and minimizes the risk of punctures and cuts. In addition, such a breaker much better dampens the impact of road irregularities, thereby giving additional softness to the ride.
Key features of Firestone Touring FS100
- rounded edges of drainage grooves reduce braking distance, provide stability at high speed;
- optimized shape and size of blocks prevent aquaplaning and premature wear, improve acoustic comfort;
- additional nylon cord in the breaker protects against punctures, reduces vibrations.
