Federal Himalaya Inverno — a studded winter model used on SUV class vehicles. This tire was designed taking into account various external conditions in which it must confirm its working characteristics - harsh winter, deep snow, ice, snowy "mash" and so on. The specially developed tread is distinguished not only by a large number of zigzag-shaped lamellas, which are so necessary for winter operation, but also by massive blocks with sufficiently sharp edges. Together with longitudinal wide and transverse grooves, the blocks easily and quickly squeeze out snow, dirt, and snowy "mash" from the tread. Water, snow, and ice are removed from the tread due to the sharp angle of inclination of the grooves.
The specially developed winter soft compound mixture of the tire allows the Federal Himalaya Inverno to retain all its working properties at sufficiently low temperatures, as a result of which the handling, braking, and acceleration of the vehicle on winter road surfaces have become more confident. Developed using computer simulation, the tire guarantees safety for passengers and drivers on complex winter roads.
