The Federal Glacier GC01 winter tire is installed on small-capacity commercial vehicles. It is adapted for operation in conditions of extremely low temperatures, under which the tread remains elastic. On any winter road surface, it demonstrates high efficiency during braking, stable traction, and reliable handling.
The tread pattern is distinguished by the arrangement of blocks, in which the transverse edges are characterized by a large extent and a zigzag shape. This gives the tire high traction and braking efficiency on snow. On wet and icy surfaces, efficiency is maintained by transversely arranged sinusoidal lamellas. The shoulder blocks are connected by longitudinal "bridges" that limit their mobility under the influence of lateral acceleration forces. This significantly improves the accuracy of handling and course stability, reducing uneven wear of the tread.
