The Farroad FRD75 winter commercial tire is designed for small-capacity trucks and buses. It is characterized by high performance on any slippery surface, significant load-carrying capacity by its category, and good fuel economy.
The tread pattern has a symmetrical non-directional design with large blocks. Such dimensions of the elements, combined with an optimized tread profile, have made it possible to increase the area of the zone constantly in contact with the road surface, while ensuring even weight distribution of the vehicle. As a result, not only has the traction on dry pavement and its stability improved, but also the resistance of the tread to wear, especially uneven wear, has increased.
The effectiveness of the tread on slippery winter surfaces is achieved by several features. First of all, it is the rubber compound used in the manufacture of the tire. It is characterized by a high content of "silica". This component gives the tread elasticity at low temperatures, while providing strength for tearing and stretching. In addition, the pattern is literally dotted with sinusoidal lamellas. Narrow slits, forming several thousand sharp edges, allow for intense acceleration and deceleration on rolled snow and ice without any loss of traction stability.
Main features:
- a dual rib in the center reduces rolling resistance, increases directional stability, and handling comfort;
- wide shoulder blocks provide high traction on snow;
- a rubber compound with increased "silica" content and a tread with several thousand sinusoidal lamellas improve traction properties on rolled snow and ice.
