The Duraturn Mozzo Winter Ice winter tire is designed for compact passenger cars. It belongs to the so-called "friction" models, distinguished by improved traction properties on wet and snowy roads, precise handling, and fuel efficiency.
The tread pattern is designed in a "Scandinavian" style with a V-shaped arrangement of drainage grooves. The direction of the elements against the direction of movement and the increased width allow the removal of not only water but also a mixture of snow and road dirt from the contact patch. The modular arrangement of blocks in the shoulder areas ensures the formation of elongated transverse edges. They increase the traction force on snow. The efficiency on icy roads is ensured by the coordinated work of long wavy lamellas and spikes, for which special holes are provided in the tread.
