Description Dunlop Sp sport signature
All-season tire Dunlop Sp sport signature is designed for use in regions with moderately cold climates. The model demonstrates its strongest sides on wet roads with separate sections of snowy cover, standing out in such conditions with coupling stability and reliability of control, along with reduced fuel consumption, low noise level and extended service life.
The asymmetric tread pattern consists of massive elements distributed over the longitudinal ribs. This design minimizes rolling resistance, prevents wear of the tread, providing stable coupling and precise control at high speed. The next important feature of the pattern is the presence of a large number of elements designed to increase coupling on wet surfaces. First of all, these are grooves, most of which are located on the inside of the tread. Part of the elements is located at an angle and has a curved shape, which allows them to use the rotation of the wheel to increase the intensity of water diversion. This significantly reduces the risk of aquaplaning. Longitudinal grooves, due to their shape and increased size, significantly increase the reliability of control on snowy surfaces. It is worth noting the use of a rubber compound in the manufacture of the tread, the composition of which is more than half represented by silicon dioxide, also known as "silica". This compound retains optimal elasticity at temperatures below zero degrees, allowing the numerous grooves and lamellas to work on snowy and wet surfaces with maximum efficiency.
Key features of Dunlop Sp sport signature:
- universal tread pattern provides stable coupling on wet and snowy surfaces;
- optimized tread profile improves handling, reduces wear and fuel consumption;
- integrated rim protection prevents tire damage from strong impact effects;
- rubber compound with increased "silica" content enhances coupling properties on snow and wet surfaces
