The summer tire Dunlop SP Sport Maxx 050 DSST is part of the standard equipment of the Lexus LS. It represents a special version of the same model, designed for the most dynamic versions of medium-sized passenger cars. It is characterized by exceptional efficiency at high speeds, differing in excellent precision in handling and directional stability.

The tire uses the DSST technology, a "proprietary" version of RunOnFlat from Dunlop. Its essence lies in the special design of the sidewalls, where special reinforcing elements are used. Thanks to them, the tire, in the event of a puncture, retains a significant part of its original profile, which makes it possible to continue driving. The reinforcing structure is designed for speeds of no more than 80 km/h. At the same time, the reliability of control during maneuvering and longitudinal acceleration is maintained.

The tread pattern is executed in an effective design with large serpentine drainage grooves. Their increased volume and direction against the direction of movement minimize the risk of aquaplaning. The double longitudinal rib located in the center, together with the rigid shoulder blocks, provides precision in handling and directional stability at high speeds. The numerous transverse grooves located along the edges of the tread allow for intense acceleration and braking on a wet surface. The running part of the tread has a special shape. Thanks to it, the contact patch is maximized under load and remains so even during dynamic maneuvering. This enhances the traction properties and provides stability, making it easier to manage the vehicle.
