Confirmation of the high technical characteristics and impeccable quality of the Dunlop SP Sport 230 summer tire is its use in the primary equipment of such cars as Mazda 6 and Honda Accord. Thanks to the use of advanced technologies and the latest materials, this model demonstrates balanced operating properties and the absence of pronounced "weak points".
Tread pattern
One of the characteristic features of the Dunlop SP Sport 230 tire is its high performance in any road conditions. This is achieved due to the use of a tread pattern divided into several functional zones. Each one improves certain operational properties. At the same time, many of them complement and enhance the action of each other, giving the tire balance.
Rigid shoulder zones
An example of such multifunctionality is the design of the shoulder zones. This part of the tread is characterized by increased rigidity and massiveness, as well as the presence of wide transversely arranged rectangular blocks. The combination of such design features improves and enhances the action of several operational properties at once. First of all, this is the stability and stability of the coupling properties when braking and turning. At the same time, the long transverse edges of the shoulder blocks significantly reduce the braking distance, especially on wet roads.
Five continuous longitudinal ribs
Like the shoulder zones, the central part of the tread is characterized by a closed design, which contains three wide longitudinal ribs. Together with the shoulder zones, their number increases to five, which, with their continuous and very rigid design, provides the tire with several advantages at once. The main ones are directional stability and high-speed handling, prevention of uneven wear, and reduced rolling resistance.
Main features of the Dunlop SP Sport 230 tire
- a tread pattern with several functional zones provides excellent performance in any road conditions;
- a rigid shoulder zone design with numerous massive blocks increases stability and coupling in turns, prevents uneven wear, and reduces braking distance;
- excellent directional stability, fast and accurate responses to steering wheel turns, thanks to continuous longitudinal ribs in the center of the tread.
