The Dunlop SP Sport 2050 summer tire boasts excellent performance characteristics, as evidenced by its use on the assembly lines of many well-known automobile manufacturers.
The tire is available in the most popular sizes from 16 to 19 inches, making it suitable for use on most mid-range passenger cars. The high class of this tire is confirmed by the high-speed indices V and W assigned to it.
In the development of the Dunlop SP Sport 2050 tire, a large number of advanced technical developments available to the English manufacturer with a 120-year history were used. In particular, the tire engineers used a five-rib design of the non-directional tread pattern, which on the one hand allowed for a high level of basic operational characteristics, and on the other hand, made the cost of the final product more affordable.
To ensure stable and reliable behavior at high speeds, the three longitudinal ribs located in the central part of the tread have a rigid, uninterrupted structure. Additionally, longitudinal lamellas are located on the surface of the central ribs, which further improve the tire's resistance to deformations that occur when cornering.
When driving, the tires are characterized by a low noise level, which was achieved thanks to the use of a special design of the edges of the water drainage grooves, which divide the tread into five functional elements - three central ribs and two shoulder zones.
