Dunlop GrandTrek PT2

The summer passenger tire Dunlop GrandTrek PT2, produced by a well-known and respected British manufacturer worldwide, is designed for most models of passenger vehicles with increased cross-country ability, the operation of which takes place predominantly on high-speed highways.

This is indicated by the symmetric non-directional tread pattern, the S-shaped design of which is more suitable for purely highway tires. In particular, the narrow specialization of this model is evidenced by the double central rib, the high stiffness of which provides the tire with excellent directional stability and in part high braking and acceleration efficiency.

Also, in the central part of the tread, the main elements of the drainage system are located - four longitudinal grooves that provide rapid removal of water from the contact patch. This solution provides the tire with reliable and stable movement in rainy conditions.

One of the main purposes of the shoulder zones of the Dunlop GrandTrek PT2 tire tread is to provide excellent traction when cornering at high speeds. For these purposes, these tread elements have a reinforced design, which is supplemented by a rounded profile that effectively combats the deformations that occur when cornering.

The composition of the rubber compound was carefully selected taking into account the specifics of operation associated with the large weight of modern large-sized SUVs. In combination with other design solutions, this gave the tire excellent wear resistance and reduced rolling resistance.
