The Dunlop Enasave EC300+ summer tire is designed for medium-sized minivans. It is included in the primary equipment of several Mitsubishi models. It is distinguished by its pronounced fuel-saving properties, high ride comfort, comfortable handling, and softness on the road.
Two enlarged ribs in the middle
The tread pattern of the tire is designed in a symmetrical design with large elements. In the central part, there are two ribs with a monolithic structure. Together with their massive size, this structure gives them high resistance to deforming effects. As a result, the accuracy of handling is increased, the directional stability and fuel economy are improved, and due to the uniform distribution of the load on the road surface, the level of abrasive impact on the tread is reduced.
Rigid shoulder blocks
In addition to the central part, the shoulder areas of the tread are also rigid. The blocks located here are also enlarged in size and connected by wide longitudinal "bridges". They limit the mobility of the elements, increasing the tire's resistance to lateral acceleration forces. The transverse edges formed by the shoulder blocks allow for effective implementation of traction and reduce the braking distance on wet surfaces.
Two-layer tread
The tread has a two-layer structure, which improves all key operational and driving qualities of the tire. The lower layer, which is the "base", is made of a compound with high stiffness and thermal conductivity. This additionally optimizes the distribution of the load on the road surface, reduces the heat generated by the tire during prolonged high-speed driving, and with it, the rolling resistance. The stiffness of such a "substrate" improves the stability of the traction properties.
The tread itself is made of a rubber mixture with an increased content of silicon dioxide, also known as "silica". This component, due to the elasticity it gives to the tread at low temperatures, improves traction on wet surfaces. In addition, such a composition of the compound has excellent tear and tensile strength, which significantly slows down the wear rate of the tread from abrasion.
