The Doublestar DW01 Studless winter tire is the "base" version of the same model. It differs from the studded version by the absence of spikes, but with the possibility of installing them in specially designed holes. This tire is characterized by a low noise level, stability on both cleared and snowy roads, low fuel consumption for its category, and long mileage before replacement.

The tread pattern features a directional design with a symmetrical arrangement of elements. Their enlarged size, combined with an optimized tire profile, has significantly increased the area of the zone in contact with the road surface. This greatly improves traction properties and reduces the level of abrasive impact on the tread. Another feature of this design is the significant tilt of the drainage grooves. This allows the use of not only their size but also the force of wheel rotation to divert water from the contact patch, which greatly increases resistance to aquaplaning and slushplaning. On complex road conditions, confident handling is provided by several thousand edges formed by wavy lamellas. These elements are arranged transversely, which allows for effective implementation of traction force and deceleration on surfaces with very low friction coefficients.
