This model is characterized by an attractive ratio of low price and good technical characteristics, among which comfort is probably not the first place. At the same time, the Asian manufacturer has managed to find a practically ideal balance in handling.
Tread with a large number of elements
Seeking to provide the tire with maximum grip on wet roads, the developers went for an increase in the number of gripping edges by reducing the size of the tread blocks and giving them a complex polygonal shape. At the same time, wide longitudinal ribs are formed from them, which allowed them, in addition to the gripping properties, to improve a number of other characteristics. First of all, this is directional stability and responsiveness at high speed.
Low noise level and fuel efficiency
As noted earlier, this model is characterized by a high level of comfort, including acoustic comfort. It is ensured, despite the large number of individual blocks. The "focus" is on their multi-step arrangement, which minimizes the likelihood of resonant noise, as well as the direction of most of the edges formed by them at a sufficiently sharp angle. The latter feature, in addition to noise reduction, reduces fuel consumption.
Excellent resistance to aquaplaning
Another "plus" of the tread design with a large number of blocks is the development of its drainage system, which has numerous grooves. Together with their multidirectionality and impressive internal volume, this allows water to be removed from the contact patch in almost any quantities, thereby providing high resistance to aquaplaning.
