The summer passenger tire Debica Passio 2 is one of the latest developments of the well-known Polish manufacturer in our country. One of the distinctive features of this model is the use of a number of technical solutions previously used in Goodyear tires. This is not surprising, given that the Polish company is part of this North American tire giant. The size range of this tire includes 14 sizes for wheels with a mounting diameter of 13, 14, and 15 inches. At the same time, two sizes differ in increased carrying capacity, which allows the tire to be installed on light commercial vehicles.
Excellent resistance to aquaplaning
One of the distinctive features of this model is not so much the number of drainage channels and grooves, but their size. As a result, this allows them to pass an enormous amount of water leaving the contact patch. At the same time, the speed of its circulation was significantly increased, giving the side drainage channels a curved shape, which reduces the likelihood of water swirls. Another technical solution that further improved traction on a wet surface was the numerous wavy lamellas located on the surface of each of the tread blocks. These elements, when in contact with the road surface, form additional edges that easily penetrate the water film and grip even the smallest irregularities.
Excellent acceleration and braking efficiency
The tread pattern of the Debica Passio 2 model consists of four longitudinal ribs, each of which represents a separate row of blocks. The presence of such a number of tread ribs made it possible to equip the tread with very massive blocks, which, due to this, became very rigid. In combination with the numerous edges formed by them, this made it possible to significantly improve the acceleration efficiency, substantially reducing the braking distance, especially on a wet surface.
Key features of Debica Passio 2
- the original S-shaped tread pattern demonstrates excellent efficiency on a wet road;
- massive tread blocks provide excellent acceleration and short braking distance;
- the large volume of drainage channels allows for the rapid removal of a huge amount of water from the contact patch, ensuring excellent resistance to aquaplaning;
- low noise and vibration level, thanks to the 4-stage scheme of tread block placement.
