The Debica Frigo HP winter passenger non-studded tire is the debut model of this well-known Polish manufacturer, designed for powerful high-speed vehicles. This model is available in four most popular sizes with fitment sizes of 15 and 16 inches, which allows this tire to be used mainly on compact class passenger cars. Since this Polish manufacturer is under the control of the North American tire giant Goodyear, it is not surprising that many technologies previously used on winter models of the North American company were widely used in the creation of this tire.
In particular, the V-TRED technology was used, which is still relevant today. The term V-TRED hides the world-famous V-shaped design of the symmetrical directional tread pattern. Thanks to this scheme of tread element arrangement, the tire demonstrates excellent characteristics on any type of winter coverage.
The central part of the Debica Frigo HP tread consists of three longitudinal ribs, the central one of which has a solid construction, and the two neighboring ones consist of many separate blocks. The central tread rib, due to its rigid design, provides the tire with high directional stability. A multitude of separate blocks form a huge number of sharp edges of adhesion, which, in combination with the arrangement of these blocks at a significant angle to the direction of movement, provide high acceleration efficiency, especially on snow.
The shoulder areas of the tread are distinguished by a large width and block structure. Thanks to the combination of massive sizes and transverse arrangement of blocks, the tire demonstrates excellent handling during turns and excellent braking characteristics on slippery winter surfaces.
