Description Davanti DX640 215/60 R17 96H FR

The summer model Davanti DX640 is a high-performance tire that is installed on a wide range of passenger vehicles. Among its characteristics, improved handling, low noise and resistance to hydroplaning can be highlighted.

The compound contains silica, which increases the tire's performance and also makes it resistant to abrasive wear. Thanks to the latter factor, the tire can withstand a large number of seasons even in conditions of intense use.

The deep asymmetric tread, equipped with numerous channels, quickly copes with any water volumes, maintaining traction at a high level. This factor also has a positive effect on braking characteristics, ensuring increased safety.
In some sizes, the tire is equipped with a Run-Flat system, allowing you to continue driving even with punctures.

Main features of Davanti DX640

- elastic compound with silica provides reliable traction characteristics and efficiency against wear;
- asymmetric tread structure increases traction and also helps to minimize braking distance;

Technologies

Improved rubber compound composition

The range of models is made using an improved compound in combination with innovative tread designs, which have outstanding road holding and low noise levels, without sacrificing responsiveness, handling and fuel efficiency.

Solid central block design

The basis of the tread pattern is a sturdy central block structure. The inner sections work dynamically, adapting the tire's performance throughout the tire's lifespan and tread wear.

Additionally, to prevent undesirable repeated sound frequencies, blocks of varying sizes are used in the tread.

Special tread DX

The special DX tread features an elongated reinforced breaker layer and flexible sidewalls, which provide a uniform wear profile and maximum contact with the road

Aquaplaning protection

The tire features four wide longitudinal grooves that divert water from the contact patch, providing optimal grip on the surface and minimizing the risk of aquaplaning.

Shoulder Blocks Connected

Large connected shoulder blocks of the tire support constant contact with the road.

Deep outer sipes help the tire to maximally dissipate water to increase traction on wet roads.

Rim Protection Technology

Thanks to the built-in rim protection, alloy wheels are protected from damage.

Davanti DX640: budget comfort for city driving with British positioning

The model is of interest to drivers who are looking for a soft and quiet tyre for relaxed everyday city driving without overpaying for a premium brand. At the same time, it's worth considering that at high speeds and in deep water, the behaviour may be less predictable than that of top-end counterparts.

Who is it suitable for: The Davanti DX640 is optimal for those who predominantly drive in the city at a moderate pace and value comfort above sporty sharpness. Buyers often note the softness of the ride and the low noise level, making daily trips more enjoyable. The price is significantly lower than that of premium brands, while offering comparable comfort on dry asphalt. The tyre is well-suited for business sedans and crossovers, where smoothness and quietness are important. The silica in the compound helps maintain elasticity and resistance to wear throughout the season. For drivers with a moderate style and speeds of up to 110-120 km/h, the model reveals its full potential. When purchasing, it's reasonable to check the wheel balancing at a tyre fitting shop, as there are isolated cases of issues with geometry. In its price segment, this is one of the most balanced options for city driving.

Who should consider an alternative: It's better to choose a different class if you regularly drive on the highway at speeds above 140-150 km/h. This model is less suitable for those who prefer an aggressive driving style with sharp lane changes and braking. For regions with extremely poor road conditions, it's worth considering tyres with a more reinforced sidewall. If maximum stability in rain and deep puddles is your priority, there are more specialized solutions. For heavy SUVs with dynamic driving, it's more reasonable to look towards more robust constructions. This comfort-oriented class is not intended for track days or sports driving.

Main reason for choice: The main argument for buying is the price-to-comfort ratio: you get a soft, quiet tyre without overpaying for the marketing of premium brands. The practical benefit is that for city driving at moderate speeds, the difference in sensations is minimal, while the savings are substantial. A reasonable compromise is not to demand track stability at high speeds from a budget UHP tyre. The level of expectations should be kept realistic: this is a comfortable everyday tyre, not a sports device. With careful checking during fitting and gentle use, the model serves as a reliable solution for several seasons. The final advice is: if your scenario is city and relaxed highway driving, the purchase seems justified.
