The Cordiant Sport 3 summer tire is designed for passenger cars and enjoys well-deserved popularity among consumers. It was created using advanced technologies and the best materials, so it meets all world standards and norms. When creating it, the main emphasis was placed on manageability and safety, so the main attention was paid to the design of the tread and the composition of the rubber compound.

Unique rubber compound

A unique rubber compound was applied to obtain improved driving characteristics. The high content of silica made it possible to significantly increase the elasticity of the Cordiant Sport 3 rubber. This had a positive effect on the traction characteristics, as well as accelerated the recovery of the tread, which reduced the load on the suspension elements. Silicon helped to increase the wear-resistant qualities of the rubber, as a result of which the tread life increased. The rubber compound increased the speed characteristics of the tread and allowed to reduce the rolling resistance, reducing fuel consumption and increasing stability during movement. Also, the heating of the tire at maximum speeds decreased, which reduced the risk of damage and rupture. The unique rubber compound has increased elasticity, providing a comfortable ride.

New tread design

The tread design provided excellent operational characteristics. Three central continuous ribs provide straight-line stability and confident feedback. Large blocks in the lateral zone protect the tread from possible damage and increase stability during maneuvers. Four deep water drainage channels quickly remove water and dirt from the tread, preventing possible aquaplaning. A large number of small notches and cuts increase stability on wet road surfaces and reduce noise during movement.

Main features of the Cordiant Sport 3 tire

- an improved drainage system provides quick water removal from the contact patch, minimizing aquaplaning;
- continuous blocks in the central part of the tread increase stability during straight-line movement;
- a reinforced shoulder area prevents lateral punctures and damage;
- small channels reduce the sound effect when driving and increase stability on wet surfaces;
- a reduced rolling resistance coefficient reduced fuel consumption during movement and increased stability at high speeds.

Technologies

Dry-Cor Technology

The DRY-COR technology eliminates tire slipping and prevents its deformation in turns, maintaining the stability of the contact patch and the tire's grip on the road, preventing skidding and drifting. The outer shoulder area of the Cordiant Sport 3 consists of a solid rib with massive tread blocks, providing stability in turns.

Tread compound Sport-Mix

For Cordiant Sport 3, a new rubber compound of the tread SPORT-MIX® has been specially developed, which provides cushioning of unevenness and defects of the road surface and ensures smooth running, shows excellent grip at high speeds even in the most difficult situations on the road and reduces tire heating.

Wet-Cor Side

The inner side of the WET-COR® pattern of the Cordiant Sport 3 is divided by transverse arc-shaped grooves – this contributes to a reduction in aquaplaning and increases safety on a wet track.

Massive central ribs

Central ribs increase the stiffness of the tread belt, which in turn allows to reduce the reaction time when steering and provide excellent directional stability.

Low risk of aquaplaning

The inner side of the CORDIANT Sport 3 tread pattern is divided by transverse arc-shaped grooves - this helps to reduce the risk of aquaplaning and increase safety on wet road surfaces.

Wide outer shoulder area

The outer shoulder area of the CORDIANT Sport 3 tread consists of a solid rib with massive sipes, which improves the tire's grip properties, as well as increases handling and acceleration efficiency on any surface.

Tread elements

The checkered elements of the inner shoulder rib of the tread, connected to each other by half-axles, and the rigidly connected edge elements of the outer rib provide the CORDIANT Sport 3 tire with excellent stability during sharp changes in direction of movement and on turns.
